Set within the grounds of a 19th-century barn conversion in Bristol, this private garden sits amongst an established orchard with panoramic views across the Severn Estuary.
Our brief was to sensitively enhance the existing garden, strengthening its connection to the surrounding landscape. Rather than redesigning the space entirely, we refined its structure and introduced considered planting design to enrich biodiversity and encourage birdlife.
Layered, wildlife-friendly planting creates a calm, immersive atmosphere, while carefully positioned terraces and seating areas offer moments of shelter alongside expansive views across the wider acreage.
Materiality and a strong sense of place guided the project throughout, resulting in a heritage garden that feels rooted, secluded, and quietly expansive
