Our clients were looking for a design that worked for them and their two small children in their new home in the Wiltshire countryside. As a busy young family they needed borders that were manageable but abundant, offering year round interest that wouldn’t demand too much time. A lawn for the children to play on, a path down to the stream and a hint of Provence! The brief came along with a modest budget and the understanding that certain existing elements, such as the patio, could not be altered. We were delighted with our clients response with this reimagining of their dream space, utilising timber and rope swags to create a rose arbor, curving gravel path lined with nepeta and subtly screened “grown up garden” perfect for a G&T at the end of a long day.
